Cheated a farewell lunch

2 more days to CNY!! Yay! happy that I can still celebrate chinese new year here before going back to Brissy.

Wow, so many stuff happens over the weekend. Met super lots of new people :)

First of all, I would like to say that I extended my internship. On the last day of internship, after returning the laptop, saying goodbye to everyone, ate the farewell meal, settle all the admin stuff, and getting ready to stop working, i changed my mind and extend my internship till 25th Feb.

I super hardworking right. I super semangat right :)

That's what i told everyone who asked my why i extend, Haha. Actually I wanted to work at my dad's office next week, but dad don't want me to work there, then I wanted to find part time job, but I doubt anyone will want me since I can only work for less than 1 month. Since staying at home also nothing to do, might as well continue to work and earn some money. =P

On the suppose "my last day of internship", the company organised an intern party for us, so nice of them right! The event was held at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, got free food and goodies bags, why would I not go. They prepared games for us too, first we played something like Bingo, then some IQ question then lastly, we have to build a paper tower that can hold 3 water bottles. I lazy to describe in detail, ask me in person or msn me la if you want to know more. Oh yeah, they even serve us BEER on the night!

The next day, Saturday. Nicholas, my ex housemate, invited me to join his Rotaract Club Pudu District event to Gardenia for factory visit. Again, why would I not go. I left house at 8 to Kepong KTM, bought ticket to Bandar Tasik Selatan, took me around 45 mins to reach there. That day is the first time I see the special women-only coach, and suprisingly not all women went into that coach eventhought its not full.

Reach there, Nic came fetch me, then met up with other Rotaract member then proceed to the factory in Shah Alam. Waited for a while then went in 2 by 2 (apparently the lady there want us line up 2 by 2 so its easier for them to jaga us, Haha!). Watched a 20 minutes clip on the history and production of Gardenia, i was fishing half way through, lol. Then finally its the factory visit. Skip. Then Q&A. Skip. Then my favourite part of the day, free bread!!! Everyone that day get 1 goodies bag! Inside got a loaf of bread, some buns and twiggies!! (I took extra twiggies on the way out, nyehehehe).

Joined them for lunch and fellowship at Kota Kemuning, I have no idea where is that place, I budak PJ la. Chit chat, meet some new friends then balik rumah. Nic sent me back home since his new house is near my area. Thanks bro. Super tired that, went back home straight nap already, somemore that evening was raining, lagi best to sleep!

Sunday, went Gardens shopping and dad bought an IPad for his office. He make me hesitate whether to get an IP4 or not la. How la now?!!! Need a new phone fast!

Shopping Spree, Not

I am back, after one week! Really, last few days dam lazy to update, i think i wont be updating as often as i promised d. LOL

Quite happy last week, well, met up with some of my SAM friends last Friday.

It has been 2 years i didn't see them, well at least some of them. We had our reunion at Sunway Pyramid then second round at AC, organised by Aishan. Met up with Sheldon, Sue, Bob, Joanne, Christina, Jie Hao, Yao Yun and Aishan. Not many people as a lot cannot make it, hope to have another soon with them

Seriously wei, i miss the time when i was in SAM! It was a small class, around 20 people, everyone basically know each other very well. Had lots of fun back then, haih, happy times... After graduate, none of them went UQ with me :( mostly Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Malaysia. NONE in Brissy! but most of us still keep in touch and almost all of us doing the same course :) accounting and finance!!! YEAH!

Anyway, been going around malls to do shopping for CNY. Been to One Utama(OU), Curve, Ikano like 674329 times, pyramid twice, mid valley and other malls once, guess what i got for CNY?! :)
I had got myself a pair of jeans and shoes. Yup, that is all for me. It's so hard to get shirt for me, because I am picky and cheap. Haha.

Too cheap, also i won't buy. (kiasu mah)

Sometimes i think, guys cloths are so limited, i once read it somewhere, mens cloth has 4 different categories, namely jacket, dress shirt, t-shirt and Polo. When compared to womens cloth, its like China and Malaysia(good comparison right! haha). Its either super expensive and nice, or cheap and not nice. Seldom you see is cheap and nice, only sometime during sales period. Maybe that is why, the male population are more keen on watch(my opinion), and that is why the watch industry target their male customers more. Look around at all watch ads, you hardly see any female model, mostly are mens like Andy Lau and Pierce Brosnan.

Talking about sales period, I missed the YES! All the 50% and 70% are all gone, now left only with 10% and new arrival. I hope next week or during CNY period will have another sales, so i can do my shopping here before going back Brissy. Its better to get cloth here and wear in brissy, at least you wont bang cloth with the Aussie, haha. Seriously! the shirt i bought in JJ, walk along the street and you can see at least 3 wearing the same shirt. So not COOL!

While walking in all the malls, i realised something. Looks like alot of people craze over polo. Polo as in not RL Polo, but close to RL Polo, those cheaper version but look alike 1. When you walk in any departmental store, you will see a big crowd at the 'polo' section. Now everyone can afford :) and look nice.

I bet those that used their hard earned money to get the super expensive, authentic RL Polo must be very upset. Now everyone looks the same as them, now everyone has the same status, they are not very special anymore. Got one time, when i was eating in some ulu place restaurant, i saw a foreign worker wearing big horse RL polo cleaning the table!! =.= even they can afford already(obviously is a fake). I was telling my manager the other day, even if you got an authentic, super expensive RL shirt, people will doubt whether it is real or fake when they see you, unless they can really differentiate it. Isn't the purpose of getting a real branded stuff suppose to show that you can afford it, and not give people the impression that it is fake?! dam sad right. I got 2 cheap polo from RL factory outlet, does that consider real or fake? :)

That is why i don't really go for RL now, its time to look for something new and expensive... cheh... will be heading to pavilion next week i guess to do more shopping, more like window shopping.

Resolution

Last week, i went for my first toastmaster club meeting, and resolution is the word of the day. everyone are encourage to use the word 'resolution' as many times as possible during discussion or speech. I didn't know resolution got so many meaning until i went and google just now!

2. A resolving to do something.
3. A course of action determined or decided on.
4. A formal statement of a decision or expression of opinion put before or adopted by an assembly such as the U.S. Congress.
5. Physics & Chemistry: The act or process of separating or reducing something

i don't even know half of the meaning existed, the dictionary missed out 1, photo resolution! So finally i found a new name for my blog, i feel my old blog name super lame, what 'new chung seriously', out of date already la, RESOLUTION is the new cool! LOL.

It suit me so well, i said i wanted to change, there you go - new year resolution.

They asked me what is my new year resolution, and i quote my blog. I said, i want to meet more new people, expand my social network, that is why i join the club meeting, cheh... must 拍马屁(flatter) abit mah.

I just found out something! i used google translation just now to translate 拍马屁, and it came out "kowtow"! LOL, i didn't know kowtow is an english word until today! I literally laughed out loud, hahaha. I really learned a new word today, new english word. Haha. Not bad ah, kowtow already made its way to english dictionary, what will be the next chinese word to achieve this? Lansi?

Anyway, i learned alot during the meeting, and i will go again next week for my second and last toastmaster club meeting before i leave EY, haha.

1st 鱼生 of the year

Today post from home again, because seriously no free time in office. I dont feel so useless anymore, super happy can do something to help out my manager :) when you very long got nothing to do, then suddenly got given a simple task, you will feel lazy to start working again, because no more slacking, and thats me! but i super semangat today, don't know why. Maybe because i cut my hair O.o hahaha, super random.

Saturday was dad's company dinner, i think is 15 years old already? Im so proud of my dad ;) haha.

Normally company dinner will be the first day of the year that i eat yee sang. 今年也不例外。I like yee sang, i like the sweetness, the sourness, and the best of all, the crunchy-crunchy thing!! they call it 薄脆 in mandarin. whoever that created yee sang seriously... im speechless.

Apparently my box of stuff survived the flood! so super duper dam lucky wei, the house flood till roof and my stuff is dry! this must be my year la, 2011 WOO HOO!!!! I didn't know Tim will put in this solid box, i told him to put in a paper box and chuck it aside nia. So nice of him, Thanks Tim, i dedicaate this post to you. Cheh....

Friday, my colleague bought a box of fortune cookies and belanja us. So everyone picked one and i got this, this will be my fortune this year. Hmm, difficult to resist huh, must be 桃花运, hahahha, your head la!

Why didn't i update my blog yesterday? That is because i am super busy that day, finally, not stoning already! Happy right.

I got my company note book (as in for writing, not laptop notebook) yesterday, didn't know intern also can get 1, not bad huh.

I told my manager that i got the note book, they were so jealous that i got the white 1. Apparently the higher level people got a black colour 1, which they claim doesn't look nice and super ugly. Nyehehehe. Then i said i very happy to get this book, because i can show other people that i actually worked in EY before, then go interview also bring this along, go class also bring this along. Hahahaha. My manager said, why don't i laminate it and never use it, isn't it better. Seriously ah, super lame group of people la my office.

My Spec is gone! I am under contact lens probation testing day, i just made that up, haha. I wanted to get contact lens, so my nice optician gave me a pair of free contact lens to try first. After wearing spec for so long, now suddenly change to contact, a bit not use to it la. Especially my look, damn weird wei! haha, maybe i need a shorter haircut.

I cant help but to post this up, i know i know, you all can read it from internet, but i like.

Another casualty in brisbane flood. There is this guy that wanted to check on his property after the water level went down abit. Unfortunately, he got suck down the drain due to the strong current. Why la so gan cheong, its already flooded anyway, go check also no different. So please, friends in brissy, wait till the water level is safe first only go out and check.

"When an event like this happens, you see the best come out in people", i wish i can help also, as in physical help like cleaning up, volunteer at evacuation center. Monetary help cannot la, sendiri also cannot survive d. LOL

Another thing i notice, this point of time, still got people loot! Its your country for god sake, people already lost property and even lives, and this kind of people still out there stealing. BURN in Hell! They are just going to worsen the whole situation. disappointed

Inland Tsunami

so should i start to believe that 2012 is true? is the world going to end anyway? just look around the world now, disaster everywhere! europe london snow non stop, sea water level rising, queensland Aus rain non stop. what will happen to malaysia? the earth sudah tak boleh tahan.

few weeks ago, i knew that northern part of queensland is flooded, all my friends asked whether brisbane is flooded as well, i said no coz its at central Qld. Yesterday, its a different story d, the place where i used to stay, got attacked by the flood. heard that a big part of st lucia, where the Uni is located, is also flooded. Then i read the news just now, the southern part of Qld also kena already. basically 3/4 of sunshine state (Queensland is known as sunshine state, coz its suppose to be sunny!) is covered with water. why la why.

didnt know it will be THAT serious. any places near the brisbane river is basically done, my luggage and stuff there also done. I can only hope for the best lol. Tim, my ex housemate, now staying in brisbane street has evecuated to yakiniku, and he said almost all the street around uni is covered with water, and its still rising, hope that he is fine now. and the Uni is close for 3 days due to the flood. UQ is literally surrounded by river!

tim also said, supply in supermarkets are running low. essential foods like bread and eggs all sold out, empty, everything so kelam kabut there. australia economy sure get affected, maybe that is why the exchange rate is falling now. hmm, i just sent a letter to my landlord in st lucia, dont know it will reach him or not. hopefully it will, if not, bye bye bond.

apparently, eva said she left her super big bear bear in the garage in indro and she said her house there is quite high up. Then when i was browsing thru some flood pictures, i came across this pic where the bear bear is floating on water, so i very nice tag her in fb ask is it hers. Haha, Of coz thats not her bear bear, just want to kenakan her, nyek hehehe.

Anyway, people in Queensland, stay strong, stay safe. i will be back next month to help out...and i just got update from tim that st lucia is covered with water badlyy. haiyor...

anyway, what i want to say is, i need to expand my social network! if i dont do it now during studying life, i wont have that much chance anymore. I had been looking over the net for volunteer work, events, campaign, camps and even marathan, even i dont have the stamina to finish the whole race. i need to meet new peoplessss.

i am so going to join lots of clubs in Uni, espicially the malaysia club, i will be super active this year. lucky i went volunteer for the pre-predepature talk last week, now i got more malaysian friends in UQ! I also will look for a job there in aussie, i need more money! lol, i said that since last year but never pergi buat..

im also planning a gathering with my fellow primary 6 friends which i didnt see them for almost a decade. thats why we need a gathering la. some of them actually forgot each other d but i still remember. See, got me as a friend very good 1.

this thursday going to attend the toastmasters club in office after work because they serve free dinner, haha. NO LA, not coz of the free dinner la, its to meet new people and improve my english! :) hope the people there are nice and friendly. give chance for this newbie. haha

wordy blog is quite sian sometimes, so i will post pictures. but before that, i need a CAMERA and a phone! i was in dilemma whether to get n8 or htc, looks like i got another reason to get the n8 with super pro camera :) might getting it in singapore tho, think its cheaper there and since i might go there next month.. nyehehehehe. there goes my 2 months salaryyy... dam! even my little brother got more pay per month than me!

talking bout sg, i think im quite a kiasu person, no pun intended lol. when i see got free stuff, i must at least go "kepo" and take abit. for eg. after i makan till very full d, then some1 is offering free stuff, i die die also must take at least 1.. sei lor, kiasu betul, or is it everyone also like that, malaysia mah, haha.

like when i first started working in office also, pantry got free coffee and tea. i will have this thinking that, since they provide us with free drinks, why dumb dumb dont go and utilise it?! so everyday i purposely dont drink coffee at home, tapao my breakfast to office and makan there with free drinks, hehehe. lunch go out also dont order drinks, come back office baru drink. sigh, i feel so cheap and kiasu. or am I smart?? LOL

My Office days

Lets rewind back to 30 Nov 2010

Thats the day i got confirmation for my internship position in some company. I really want to tell you all aobut how i got this position! i feel so damn pro when i think about it.

when i was still in brisbane, i sent out around 4 application super late, around mid november? to accenture, alliance, EY and kpmg. no reply at all. then i went back malaysia on the 28th. On the 30th, My COMPANY called me. the follwoing conversation took place.

Comp:Hello, Jian Chung. Do you still want the position?
JC:Err, when do i start working actually?
Comp:1 Dec, ermm, which is tomorrow. (i was stunned, i dont know to take the offer or not, coz i was so lazy that time and its so sudden)
JC:Wah, tomorrow ah, err, i call you back? i need to consult my mum first. (LOL!)
Comp:ok, just confirm asap

i applied like super LATE and i still got the position? i feel so proud wei (must be my super duper nice result la, they dont want to lose such a good trainee, cheh...) haha. Yeah, i took the offer and went for the orientation on the following day and guess what, i saw a few of my SAM classmate was there as well, such a coincidence! but we all in different department, awww.

the next day, me and wei kee(another trainee) already went on field job in KL. we used 1 week to finish that project. Then the following week, i went field work again to MIRI with my 2 managers. damn cool, i consider super lucky d, such a noob intern already can go Miri, on 2nd week of work. spent 4 days there doing extraction then came back to KL.

until now, i am still with the project, but got nothing much to do, since its like that final stage already, all high level people job. Im already jobless for almost a week? just sitting in office, surfing the net, 闲到... and they blocked FB and youtube! i know i know, i should be happy and not complain coz i got nothing to do in office, but i tell you, its not as easy as it look to actually LLB (look like busy). well, at least now i can update my blog in office, yes, im in office atm, stoning...

so all those kind people out there who are as free as me, do add me in msn(at least they didnt block iloveim) and we shall chat about how great I am. Muahahaha

Hello all, if there is even any readers, so sad right? im treating this blog as a diary anyway, i wont expect many people will read or know :) anyway, i decided to start this new blog and hide my last few blogs which i had stop updating 6432 years ago. For now, since its year 2011, imma put aside my past(not forget k? just letak at side first) and seriously start a new life. Im an adult this year! 21 this year d! so i shall start to act mature =p

Actually another reason i wanna blog again is that, few days ago, i free free go visit my friend's blog, then saw she posted in chinese! omg, i still remember my chinese essay damn pro 1 wei last time, im so proud of my essay during high school, teacher asked to write 800 words, i pandai pergi write 1800words, so damn pro man :) NOW? i cant even remember to write a simple chinese character. The other day, i wanted to write a reminder in chinese just for fun (actually i want to practice X.x), and i forgotten how to write 喂鱼! so simple pun tak tahu! 8 years of chinese education and i forgot how to write such simple word, such a disgrace lor.. and chinese very important tahu, next time will be very useful. so all of my post will be in chinese.

no la, just kidding. some will be chinese, some english, but most of it will be in England, haha. I need to touch up on my England writing skill anyway, damn sucky d. So 1 of the benefit of blogging is actually to improve your writing skill, and who say its wasting time??

for those that actually read my previous blogs before, you can actually see im not that lame anymore from the above 3 paragraphs, haha. Grow up d k! must be more mature d! (actually i dunno go back how many times to edit the sentence so that it looks less lame and look more pro...) First post mah, must give good impression to people, but i cannot guarantee all the coming post will be as "formal" as this ah.

i guess i will be updating this blog quite often since im so determine now, so excited about this. I know, I know i said that like thousands times d, and i still rarely update my previous blogs. But now different K! now new blog, new year, new me :) look at my blog's template pun tahu, got flower, very cheerful colour, so optimistic and positive leh, will add more stuff as i move on while i learn how to customize all these things. i think its very good to write down what you did in your life, so at least when you grow older, then you can look back at what you did last time and remember all the good and bad memories, so nice right? thats another reason i wanna write again :)

OK la, i dont like long long post 1, so i shall stop here first. So happy that i have something new to do now, update my blog :) might have another post soon if i have nothing to do in office again tomorrow :( its seriously dead boring in office when you got nothing to do, and you cant talk to other people coz they are so freaking busy with their work! grr... hope i got new project soon. alright, thanks so much for supporting, see you guys around :)
