Cha Ching!

Good day.
Its a busy month - October. Lots of birthdays, events and assignments.
I realise i havent been blogging for months, suddenly i feel like it, so here i am.

Well, i havent really talk about my part time job here in brissy, which i said i wanted to look for 1 since last year.
I applied for alot of jobs online, and 1 day i got a call from my current employer.
And so  the journey begins on the 1st day of mid sem break.
It was a good experience, got chinese, malaysian, hongkee and vietnamese.
Network, check! Money, check! Finding a part time job, CHECK!
Finally, after so many months of procrastinating, i got a job here and earn some money.
Whatever, thats all i got to say about my role as a waiter.

I feel like getting a post in UQMSA la.
But i don't know whether i will still be in UQ next year,
so I think i will be selfish a bit.
Plan A: 
Run for a post in AGM tonight and hopefully get a post,
saying that i will stay in UQ to study honours,
so i have another year to go.

Plan B:
Run for a post in AGM tonight and hopefully get a post,
saying that i might stay in UQ next year,
provided i got the post, then it is an advantage for me to get into honours. win-win.

IF worse comes to worst, i do not get the honours offer, i will just reject the post and work/balik malaysia.
Its like i hold it first, if i stay, i will continue. If not, i will just resign or something.
So BAD right, thats life man, accept it!
Wish me luck, I still don't know how to tell them tonight about my plan =.=

Its funny how sometimes you know more about this person, when you expect nothing much from them.
Its like all the bad and good stuff about this person just pop out suddenly.
Maybe I have got 偏见 or 偏心, that is why.

Anyway, I was in library on a SATURDAY, whole day!

my sacrifice did pay off eventually, I managed to finish 2 questions yesterday,
which is quite surprising, usually it will take me ages.

When I know i'm ahead of time, i tend to slack.
Which is why I re-watch POTC 1 yesterday night,
which is why it-is-already-noon-but-i-am-still-here-blogging-about-how efficient i am

Lol, i wonder when was the last time i stress for assignment. SAM? first year? definitely not last year. 

I haven had any assignments since i came brissy, just exam all the way. 

Still remember last time, got assignment or project, definitely will procrastinate and blog about the amount of assignments i had and how little time i had. 

kinda miss that period of time...

I know this time i really started late for this accounting assignment d. 

That's why we take the easy way out.

Another thing! Today i spent the longest time ever in my life camping in library!

I had never stayed in the library so long before!

Pretty impressive huh, around 7 hours? 

7 HOURS!!! 开玩笑阿！

I think assignment i need to do in library, study for exam will just stay at home.

its totally out of shape, want to style also cant, like so lou only.

but i promise myself only to cut my hair after sem1,

seems like i have to take care this small bush for another 1 month until it become forest 

Assignment(s)

My first ever assignment in Brisbane!! Yea, marketing students, science students or economic students dont jealous, I am FINANCE student!

You know i always wanted to have assignment, so that i can actually learn how to write, reference and research. Was quite disappointed when i found out i got no assignment last year(so many ppl gonna hate me...haha). This year, finally, an assignment came, and its from an accounting subject.

I have been wanted to start doing the case study since last week, because i scared i wont have time to complete since its nearing final exam and I didnt do any catch up work for any subjects yet  x.X as always, I slack and slack and slack, haven't even finish reading the case study.

Oh well, Im a last minute person, I always believe in last minute, always works for me =) lol

Last Friday after dinner, we housemate had a impromptu 大扫除

but trust me, few days later, its gonna be dirty again.
Aussie is too dusty! am I right?
and because of the cleaning, i cant watch my masterchef, luckily they have it online :)
everyone was so tired and went to sleep early.

Few days ago, a plumber came and repair something, he was looking for the water main switch, so i brought him down to the garage, then only i realised... we got a garage...

So i was curious and wondering whats inside it, so i grab the bunch of keys which i dunno open which door in the house and tried all the keys on the garage door. 

Pop it goes, the garage its like a living hall!!!!! It has everything!

TV, shelf, cabinet, mattress, sofa, chairs, mirrors, table, they even have Christmas tree with a complete set of lights and ornaments! Really!

I was so happy when i saw the tv, I was even happier when I found out it is working!

now i can watch Masterchef on this bigger TV! not the pathetic small 1 already!

So we moved up some coffee tables, mirrors, TV and a display cabinet

Alright, going out soon for basketball. It have been so long since I exercise or play basketball, sure very rusty already.. cant wait! rawr! 

Bossa Nova

Word of the day - Bossa Nova

Was browsing through the forum (again), clicked into the post where they talk about haunting in Genting. LOL. Amber Court! I always stayed there when i was small. Didn't thought of that last time, just happy happy follow family go Genting and play. It actually linked to a blog, which i cant link because something wrong with blogspot and i don't know how to use html code, lol. Anyway, clicked into the blog, bla bla bla, read the whole post and comments, creepy sial.

Then saw another post titled "Bossa Nova", its actually a restaurant name, Haha.
What so special bout this?

Earlier this morning, i was searching for "Olivia Ong", she is known for her Bossa Nova Jazz style songs (i don't know all these style style, i just listen only).
I first heard about Olivia was from 超级星光大道. Her voice really sweet and nice and calm. Haha. It's really nice sleeping music, or when you just want to relax. Singing her song for karaoke abit problem la, at least for me.

I really recommend her music to everyone. At least listen to "You and Me" by "Olivia Ong" as an introductory :)

You Don't Owe Money Over CNY

Happy Chinese New Year 兔 you all! haha.

HUAT ah! I think it's a tradition already for us chinese to gamble during CNY. Everywhere you go, everyone you know will say "Gong Hey Fatt Choi! got win or not?", how would you know whether i gamble or not. LOL! Well of course, I did gamble, how can i not gamble, i do that every CNY! I don't ajak people to gamble, but i will ask people tonight come over to lose money to me :) Chun right, very ONG and sure HUAT ah!!

Another thing, I realised a lot of people using "HUAT ah" phrase this year. I think its because of the movie "Where got ghost 吓到笑" (super funny movie, as usual la, singapore movie mahhh). I remembered last year CNY not many people say HUAT, only I did! but this year different case already, everyone are using it, not special anymore.. looks like i need to look for new CNY word to make me look special.. heheh. but before i found 1, HUAT ah!!

Talking about gamble, buying numbers(toto) also consider a type of gambling. Talking about gambling, my car plate number just got 1st place last week, LOL. HUAT ah! BUT DAD DIDNT BUY! haha. Mum go and blame us say didnt pray for the 财神爷 god of fortune properly. You know normally when there is an accident on the road, then people tend to slow to look and caused traffic jam. Some yeah, they actually do care about the damage, but majority of us (i think) slow down to look at the number plate then buy it tomorrow. On 2nd day of CNY, we pass by the 1u road and it was jam, it was not supposed to jam coz its quite late and its highway, so i'm guessing its accident. Wahla! really got accident but only 1 car, some silly car go and bang the divider. This type of number shudnt buy, dumb dumb 1. LOL. So the day after my car plate number got 1st prize, i don't dare drive fast.... although i did.

Alright, back to topic.

There is this chinese saying "You Don't Owe Money Over CNY". but this year CNY, got people owe me money, not just 10 or 100 ringgit, its rm800!! I haven receive my pay till now which was supposed to be bank in last week! need to complain already, cannot just let it be! and i shall do it tomorrow...

For the last few weeks, have been visiting this forum. Hehe, i pernah quote this forum in my SAM english project. Been spending alot of time looking through all the posts, learned a lot of forum language, like england, powderful, cainis, melei, winrar, kiut, brain and alot la. When i don't understand some of the words, i will check it here. Seriously, why are there so many "words" that only online community can understand, maybe they want to feel special guaaa

2 more days to CNY!! Yay! happy that I can still celebrate chinese new year here before going back to Brissy.

Wow, so many stuff happens over the weekend. Met super lots of new people :)

First of all, I would like to say that I extended my internship. On the last day of internship, after returning the laptop, saying goodbye to everyone, ate the farewell meal, settle all the admin stuff, and getting ready to stop working, i changed my mind and extend my internship till 25th Feb.

I super hardworking right. I super semangat right :)

That's what i told everyone who asked my why i extend, Haha. Actually I wanted to work at my dad's office next week, but dad don't want me to work there, then I wanted to find part time job, but I doubt anyone will want me since I can only work for less than 1 month. Since staying at home also nothing to do, might as well continue to work and earn some money. =P

On the suppose "my last day of internship", the company organised an intern party for us, so nice of them right! The event was held at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, got free food and goodies bags, why would I not go. They prepared games for us too, first we played something like Bingo, then some IQ question then lastly, we have to build a paper tower that can hold 3 water bottles. I lazy to describe in detail, ask me in person or msn me la if you want to know more. Oh yeah, they even serve us BEER on the night!

The next day, Saturday. Nicholas, my ex housemate, invited me to join his Rotaract Club Pudu District event to Gardenia for factory visit. Again, why would I not go. I left house at 8 to Kepong KTM, bought ticket to Bandar Tasik Selatan, took me around 45 mins to reach there. That day is the first time I see the special women-only coach, and suprisingly not all women went into that coach eventhought its not full.

Reach there, Nic came fetch me, then met up with other Rotaract member then proceed to the factory in Shah Alam. Waited for a while then went in 2 by 2 (apparently the lady there want us line up 2 by 2 so its easier for them to jaga us, Haha!). Watched a 20 minutes clip on the history and production of Gardenia, i was fishing half way through, lol. Then finally its the factory visit. Skip. Then Q&A. Skip. Then my favourite part of the day, free bread!!! Everyone that day get 1 goodies bag! Inside got a loaf of bread, some buns and twiggies!! (I took extra twiggies on the way out, nyehehehe).

Joined them for lunch and fellowship at Kota Kemuning, I have no idea where is that place, I budak PJ la. Chit chat, meet some new friends then balik rumah. Nic sent me back home since his new house is near my area. Thanks bro. Super tired that, went back home straight nap already, somemore that evening was raining, lagi best to sleep!

Sunday, went Gardens shopping and dad bought an IPad for his office. He make me hesitate whether to get an IP4 or not la. How la now?!!! Need a new phone fast!

1st 鱼生 of the year

Today post from home again, because seriously no free time in office. I dont feel so useless anymore, super happy can do something to help out my manager :) when you very long got nothing to do, then suddenly got given a simple task, you will feel lazy to start working again, because no more slacking, and thats me! but i super semangat today, don't know why. Maybe because i cut my hair O.o hahaha, super random.

Saturday was dad's company dinner, i think is 15 years old already? Im so proud of my dad ;) haha.

Imma post quite some number of low quality photos of the food i had on saturday, do bare with me the quality of the photo is not that nice, because i took it using my 4 years old and cacated phone. hehehe.

Normally company dinner will be the first day of the year that i eat yee sang. 今年也不例外。I like yee sang, i like the sweetness, the sourness, and the best of all, the crunchy-crunchy thing!! they call it 薄脆 in mandarin. whoever that created yee sang seriously... im speechless.

Oh yea, Tim just tagged me in FB this afternoon. Apparently my box of stuff survived the flood! so super duper dam lucky wei, the house flood till roof and my stuff is dry! this must be my year la, 2011 WOO HOO!!!! I didn't know Tim will put in this solid box, i told him to put in a paper box and chuck it aside nia. So nice of him, Thanks Tim, i dedicaate this post to you. Cheh....

Friday, my colleague bought a box of fortune cookies and belanja us. So everyone picked one and i got this, this will be my fortune this year. Hmm, difficult to resist huh, must be 桃花运, hahahha, your head la!

Why didn't i update my blog yesterday? That is because i am super busy that day, finally, not stoning already! Happy right.

I got my company note book (as in for writing, not laptop notebook) yesterday, didn't know intern also can get 1, not bad huh.

I told my manager that i got the note book, they were so jealous that i got the white 1. Apparently the higher level people got a black colour 1, which they claim doesn't look nice and super ugly. Nyehehehe. Then i said i very happy to get this book, because i can show other people that i actually worked in EY before, then go interview also bring this along, go class also bring this along. Hahahaha. My manager said, why don't i laminate it and never use it, isn't it better. Seriously ah, super lame group of people la my office.

My Spec is gone! I am under contact lens probation testing day, i just made that up, haha. I wanted to get contact lens, so my nice optician gave me a pair of free contact lens to try first. After wearing spec for so long, now suddenly change to contact, a bit not use to it la. Especially my look, damn weird wei! haha, maybe i need a shorter haircut.

Apparently i cant do my template editing in office coz company laptop dont allow to download flash and stuff, so kena balik rumah and edit.

wordy blog is quite sian sometimes, so i will post pictures. but before that, i need a CAMERA and a phone! i was in dilemma whether to get n8 or htc, looks like i got another reason to get the n8 with super pro camera :) might getting it in singapore tho, think its cheaper there and since i might go there next month.. nyehehehehe. there goes my 2 months salaryyy... dam! even my little brother got more pay per month than me!

talking bout sg, i think im quite a kiasu person, no pun intended lol. when i see got free stuff, i must at least go "kepo" and take abit. for eg. after i makan till very full d, then some1 is offering free stuff, i die die also must take at least 1.. sei lor, kiasu betul, or is it everyone also like that, malaysia mah, haha.

like when i first started working in office also, pantry got free coffee and tea. i will have this thinking that, since they provide us with free drinks, why dumb dumb dont go and utilise it?! so everyday i purposely dont drink coffee at home, tapao my breakfast to office and makan there with free drinks, hehehe. lunch go out also dont order drinks, come back office baru drink. sigh, i feel so cheap and kiasu. or am I smart?? LOL

My Office days

Lets rewind back to 30 Nov 2010

Thats the day i got confirmation for my internship position in some company. I really want to tell you all aobut how i got this position! i feel so damn pro when i think about it.

when i was still in brisbane, i sent out around 4 application super late, around mid november? to accenture, alliance, EY and kpmg. no reply at all. then i went back malaysia on the 28th. On the 30th, My COMPANY called me. the follwoing conversation took place.

Comp:Hello, Jian Chung. Do you still want the position?
JC:Err, when do i start working actually?
Comp:1 Dec, ermm, which is tomorrow. (i was stunned, i dont know to take the offer or not, coz i was so lazy that time and its so sudden)
JC:Wah, tomorrow ah, err, i call you back? i need to consult my mum first. (LOL!)
Comp:ok, just confirm asap

i applied like super LATE and i still got the position? i feel so proud wei (must be my super duper nice result la, they dont want to lose such a good trainee, cheh...) haha. Yeah, i took the offer and went for the orientation on the following day and guess what, i saw a few of my SAM classmate was there as well, such a coincidence! but we all in different department, awww.

the next day, me and wei kee(another trainee) already went on field job in KL. we used 1 week to finish that project. Then the following week, i went field work again to MIRI with my 2 managers. damn cool, i consider super lucky d, such a noob intern already can go Miri, on 2nd week of work. spent 4 days there doing extraction then came back to KL.

until now, i am still with the project, but got nothing much to do, since its like that final stage already, all high level people job. Im already jobless for almost a week? just sitting in office, surfing the net, 闲到... and they blocked FB and youtube! i know i know, i should be happy and not complain coz i got nothing to do in office, but i tell you, its not as easy as it look to actually LLB (look like busy). well, at least now i can update my blog in office, yes, im in office atm, stoning...

so all those kind people out there who are as free as me, do add me in msn(at least they didnt block iloveim) and we shall chat about how great I am. Muahahaha
